Stefanini Group is looking for an IOT Engineer in Dearborn, Michigan This position will be a Engineer on the Internet of Things work stream within Emerging Technology and Innovation team. Key responsibilities:The company is transforming from a traditional industrial company to a contemporary digital industrial business, harnessing the power of cloud, big data, analytics, Internet of Things, and design thinking. In this role you will be responsible for developing end-to-end Industrial IoT Solutions for several products. This will involve use of appropriate sensor technology, integration with old or new plant floor systems. The position works closely with product owners and manufacturing engineers to define business problems and develop IoT technical solutions that meet customer requirements and expected outcomes.Skills Required:2 years of relevant work experience and responsibilityExperience developing in programming languages like JavaScript, Python, C and Csharp, and ability to quickly pick up potentially other languages as neededExperience implementing solutions on IoT hardware and embedded devicesComfortable working in a research environment where problems are not always well-definedStrong oral, written and interpersonal communication skillsMust be able to document work products and share them with various audience general to managerial in different formats presentation, written, demonstrationExperience in microelectronics and basic circuit design Experience in taking a problem and breaking it down into components to systematically reach conclusionsAbility to formulate a challenge and find areas of interest to pursue that are relevant to introducing an emerging technology into a company Experience Preferred:Experience in automotive or other manufacturing industryExperience with mobile application developmentExperience in deployment of a project from proof-of-concept, pilot, and productionUnderstanding of various skills and competencies that exist throughout a large information technology organization (possessing the skills are not as necessary, but knowing how to communicate with those who have them).Passion for connected things and experience with retail consumer productsUnderstanding of the complexities of going from a retail consumer electronics to implementing eco-systems in large and diverse companiesUnderstanding of the human element as it relates to technology acceptance and usage SStrong ethics with regards to privacy and securityIoT subject matter expertise -Practical experience with IoT devices, connectivity, software and service New technology research and introduction Public speaking and presentation Education Required:Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or related field or relevant degree / experience
