Engineer | $80,000–$100,000 bonus | Full-Time | Onsite (Cleveland
area) What Matters Most Embedded firmware and lab-based engineering
role supporting optical transceiver development, validation, and
OEM interoperability Hands-on opportunity to work with
microcontroller-based systems, EEPROM/Flash configuration, and
hardware communication interfaces (I2C/SPI) Growing engineering

demand High-visibility role supporting product performance,
compatibility, and customer success Job Description Develop, test,
and validate optical transceiver products used in data center and
telecommunications environments Develop and support embedded
firmware for microcontroller-based systems, collaborating with
hardware teams to integrate peripherals, communication interfaces,
and persistent memory solutions Execute interoperability testing
across multiple OEM platforms and network equipment environments
Support product qualification, validation, and performance testing
to ensure reliability and compliance with industry standards
Responsibilities Modify and validate EEPROM/Flash configurations to
support device calibration, interoperability testing, and product
qualification. Conduct lab-based testing, troubleshooting, and
failure analysis for optical transceiver and networking devices
Perform interoperability testing across a variety of network
equipment platforms and customer environments Set up, calibrate,
and maintain lab equipment, tools, and test environments to support
development and validation efforts Diagnose and resolve hardware,
optical, power, and firmware-related issues during testing and
integration Qualifications and Requirements Bachelor’s degree in
Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
professional experience 3 years of engineering, R&D, or
technical support in networking, telecom, or data center
environments Experience with embedded C/C++ development or
debugging in hardware-based environments, including EEPROM/Flash
configuration and device-level troubleshooting. Familiarity with
non-volatile memory technologies such as EEPROM, Flash, or other
persistent storage. Knowledge of common embedded communication
protocols including I2C, SPI, UART, and CAN (as applicable).

position is $80,000–$100,000, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other
compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills,
qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity.
Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow
room for future salary growth.
