Hours for this position are typically: Monday-Friday, 6:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. *Must be available to work overtime (daily, weekends & some holidays) * WHAT TOLEDO TOOL & DIE CAN OFFER YOU: Starting pay of $19.00/hour Weekly pay 10 paid holidays 401k plan Full benefits Requirements POSITION SUMMARY: The Sort Team Lead is responsible for overseeing daily sort operations, ensuring accurate inspection, sorting, and sampling of manufactured parts and materials. In addition to performing hands-on inspection work, this role provides leadership to the sort team by assigning tasks, training team members, monitoring performance, and serving as the primary point of contact between the team and supervision. The Sort Team Lead ensures quality standards are consistently met, documentation is maintained, and safe work practices are followed. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: · Perform all duties of a Sort Operator, including inspecting, sorting, and reworking parts as needed. · Lead and coordinate daily activities of the sort team to meet production and quality goals. · Assign work tasks, monitor progress, and adjust as needed to maintain efficiency. · Train and mentor new and existing sort operators on inspection techniques, quality standards, and proper use of tools. · Ensure inspection records, reports, and documentation are accurate and completed on time. · Act as the primary contact for supervisors and quality/production teams regarding sort activities and results. · Identify recurring issues, communicate trends, and recommend corrective actions. · Support and enforce company safety policies, ensuring team members work in a safe and organized environment. · Provide feedback to team members and assist with performance improvement when necessary. · Maintain proper use and care of inspection tools, equipment, and workstations. Minimum Requirements: · Meets all requirements of a Sort Operator (attention to detail, measurement skills, ability to follow instructions). · Previous experience in inspection, quality control, or manufacturing environment. · Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and guide others. · Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and handle multiple assignments. · Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting. · Demonstrated problem-solving ability and accountability for results.
