Salary Range: $75,000 - $85,000 based on experience.POSITION
SUMMARY:The Resource Development Director will be responsible for
managing a wide range of fundraising activities including building
and maintaining a portfolio of individual giving prospects and
donors, corporate partners, and cultivating and stewarding
strategic relationships. This position is also responsible for
planning and implementing the organization's two signature events
and for achieving revenue goals for these events.This fundraising
generalist position works in close conjunction with the Chief
Development Officer and is accountable for achieving revenue
targets. Ensures goal achievement through effective volunteer
leadership engagement, empowerment, and mobilization. Leverages and
manages multiple high-impact community and corporate relationships
and effective collaboration with Boys & Girls Clubs of Silicon
Valley staff and board. Models and fosters behavior that is
consistent with the core values, vision, and mission of the Boys &
Girls Clubs of Silicon Valley.KEY ROLES (ESSENTIAL JOB
DUTIES)Working with the Chief Development Officer, develop,
maintain, and grow a portfolio of individual donors who give $1,000
or more annually. This includes:
- Responsible for the development and management of an individual
giving portfolio developed through the identification, cultivation,
solicitation, and stewardship of effective relationships with
current and prospective donors.
- Through effective portfolio management, qualifies and secures
funding from donors capable of giving $1,000+ and assures donor
retention and upgrade strategies are successfully executed.
- Works collaboratively with staff and board members as
applicable to create customized solicitation strategies matching
the objectives of the organization and interests of the
donors/prospects to renew or upgrade gifts and attract new
gifts.
- Submit monthly reports as required to accurately reflect
portfolio activity and performance, to include minimum number of
donor visits, proposals, and stewardship activities annually.The
Resource Development Director will help build and support a robust
calendar of stewardship and solicitation touchpoints, including
donor meetings and events and direct mail campaigns, with the goal
of growing the organization's individual donor portfolio and major
donor list.Special EventsResponsible for planning the
organization's special events (golf and gala) and achieving event
revenue targets. This includes volunteer committee recruitment and
management, goal setting, event execution, and evaluation.
- Responsible for volunteer committee leadership development,
succession planning, and a high level volunteer experience. Drives
creativity, innovation, and event revenue growth.
- Manages pipeline development, account planning, forecasting,
ROI analysis, engagement of prospects and high level volunteer
cultivation. Able to cultivate and mobilize relationships with
targeted companies/organizations, including a diverse population of
community volunteers and major donors.
- Recruits and connects high net worth individuals with the
appropriate volunteer and/or fundraising activity, and collaborates
with major gift peers, staff, and/or board members to establish
appropriate solicitation, stewardship and cultivation
strategies.
- Recruits and connects with c-suite executives and corporate
partners to drive sponsorship and support of events, and
collaborates with corporate peers, staff, and/or board members to
establish appropriate solicitation, stewardship and cultivation
strategies.
- Monitors and accountable for financial expenditures and
progress against budget and annual plans. Takes appropriate
measures to meet goals.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 5+ years of
demonstrated experience and/or knowledge of all aspects of
fundraising including donor portfolio management, special events,
and managing/maximizing strategic relationships.
- Demonstrates development/sales competencies: customer focused,
strategic mindset, results and goals driven, action oriented,
interpersonal savvy, builds networks, resiliency
- Proficiency using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and the
Internet.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Dynamic, adaptable, and can handle multiple projects
simultaneously and autonomously.
- Must be a team player and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced
environment.
- Ability to consistently work a twelve month position, including
evening and weekend work as required. Must have reliable
transportation to all work-related activities including evening and
weekend work.
- Must clear a Criminal History check and obtain an FBI
Fingerprint Clearance.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

- Occasional lifting (up to 25 pounds of supplies or equipment
waist height)
