Job Description:
POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Vice President of Product Management will be responsible
for managing the growth and development of our entire product
portfolio and building the new product pipeline to deliver
profitable growth across all channels and regions. This leader will
manage business plans to align departments and achieve company
objectives while leveraging consumer insights to identify new
business opportunities that support the product management team's
development plans. This role will be responsible for leading
cross-functional category initiatives that deliver incremental
growth in line with our long-range plans, and will align with
marketing and sales to implement successful product launches across
all channels. This position will work closely with internal and
external stakeholders in engineering, manufacturing, and sourcing
to ensure product development success, manage and/or assist in cost
control initiatives across all categories, and provide overall
leadership and direction to their team.
CORE FUNCTIONS
o Develop and execute a comprehensive global growth strategy for
the entire product portfolio, aligning with our long-range plans
and business goals.
o Evaluate and respond to external factors, international market
dynamics, and emerging competitive landscapes.
o Integrate the Global Brand Design team into the product
development process and marketing organization.
o Drive the development and adherence to our one company operating
model in alignment with the category planning and NPD process.
o Continuously work to refine the process and elevate the team to
maximize its potential.
o Drive efficient decision making to enable on-time delivery of key
inputs supporting the new product pipeline.
o Serve as the primary point leader for product management,
building strong partnerships and influence across the
enterprise.
o Lead and develop a world-class product management organization to
ensure strategic objectives are achieved.
o Integrate the product plans of new acquisitions into the overall
strategy, with a focus on international expansion and synergy
creation.
o Play an active role in identifying potential M&A targets.
o Leverage market analysis and collaborate with research team to
identify consumer trends and insights, ensuring alignment with and
across product strategies.
o Incorporate futures and other forms of research to guide our
long-range R&D / Innovation pipeline.
o Maintain category gross margin, DCM, and EBITDA targets,
monitoring and adjusting strategies as needed to ensure financial
success.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience
Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge
- Skilled in Microsoft office, including Excel and project
management solutions.
- Skilled at identifying new trends and opportunities, evaluating
competition, and translating findings into executable consumer
product plans.
- Ability to offer a fresh perspective from a deep understanding of
consumer insights and how they relate to product assortments.
- Ability to lead a successful team of direct reports (both on-site
and remote).
- Ability to effectively communicate and present to senior level
management.
Travel
- Occasional travel will be required; 25 - 30%.
SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manager+: Plans, organizes, evaluates, and directs the employees
within the department function. Has direct reports.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- This position is subject to Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10
pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force
frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise
move objects. Sedentary work involved sitting most of the time.
Walking and standing are required only occasionally.
Physical Activities
- This position is subject to the following physical activities:
talking, hearing, and the use of hands, wrists, or fingers in
repetitive motions.
Visual Acuity
- The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an
activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures;
transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; expansive reading;
visual inspection involving small defects, small parts and/or
operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement
devices; and/or assembly of fabrication of parts at distances close
to the eyes.
Working Conditions
- This position operates in a professional office environment. This
role routinely uses standard office equipment.
