rewarding career. Hillcrest Hospital's Emergency Department (ED) is
the only Level II Trauma Center on Cleveland's east side. The ED
provides emergency services, ranging from minor injuries to
critical and resuscitative care. Seconds count in an emergency - as
an RN, you will ensure patients receive the attention they need
quickly. Collaborating with your fellow nurses, medics, CTs, PCNAs
and HUCs, you will help create an environment where patients feel
welcome, comfortable and safe. A caregiver in this position works
varying shifts from 7:00AM - 7:30PM. A caregiver who excels in this
role will:
- Provide direct nursing care.
- Implement and monitor patient care plans.
- Monitor, record and communicate patients' conditions.
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
- Assess and coordinate patients' discharge needs. Minimum
qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- Graduate from an accredited school of Professional Nursing
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- External applicants: Two years of recent related nursing
experience
- Internal applicants: Less than two years of experience with
post-orientation/90-day probationary period considered with
approval from Chief Nursing Officer
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American
Heart Association (AHA)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced
Life Support (PALS) Certification through the American Heart
Association (AHA) upon or within one year of hire
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC - adult) or Emergency Nurse
Pediatric Course (ENPC - pediatric) upon or within two years of

- Full range of body motion for handling and lifting patient,
manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination
- Standing and walking for extended periods of time
- Corrected vision and hearing to normal range
- Working under stressful conditions and irregular hours
- Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids
- Medium Work, exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally,
and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently and/or greater than
negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
- Physical Demand requirements in excess of those for Light
