Phlebotomist Float at Labcorp summary: Float Phlebotomist performs venipuncture and capillary blood collections across multiple clinic sites, handles specimen preparation and documentation, and provides patient-facing customer service. If you like variety, this role is perfect for you! $1500.00 Sign On Bonus (External applicants only) Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 8 hr shifts between 7:00a.m. – 6:00p.m. with rotating Saturdays working either 7:00a.m. – 1:30p.m. or 8:00a.m. - 12:30 p.m. This is a full time position working 40 hours per week. The hours/location may change/vary based on business need and/or the request(s) of your supervisor or management. Float Incentive: Additional $1.00/hr plus mileage reimbursement Work Location: St Clair Shores, Detroit and Gross Point, MI Benefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Casual, PRN & Part Time employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours are eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan only. Job Responsibilities: Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc. Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner Process billing information and collect payments when required Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis Maintain patient and specimen information logs Provide superior customer service to all patients Administrative and clerical duties as necessary Travel to additional sites when needed Job Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent Previous experience as a phlebotomist is required; prefer at least 1 yr Must have a Valid Driver's License and clean driving record with reliable transportation Must be at least 21 years’ old Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service Strong communication skills; both written and verbal Ability to work independently or in a team environment Comfortable working under minimal supervision Flexibility to work overtime as needed Able to pass a standardized color blindness test If you're looking for a career that offers opportunities for growth, continual development, professional challenge and the chance to make a real difference, apply today!
