Job Description Job Description Nurse Practitioner (NP) – Podiatry & General Medical Services Location: Southfield MI Practice: Stepwell Foot and Ankle Specialists Position Overview: Stepwell Foot and Ankle Specialists is seeking a motivated and clinically driven Nurse Practitioner to join our expanding specialty practice. This role offers the opportunity to work within a focused podiatric setting while also performing comprehensive and preventive general medical evaluations. We welcome both experienced Nurse Practitioners and new graduates who are eager to develop their clinical skills within a collaborative and supportive environment. The selected candidate will play an integral role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care, particularly among diabetic, geriatric, and medically complex populations. Key Responsibilities: Perform comprehensive physical examinations and focused lower extremity evaluations. Assist in the assessment and management of common podiatric conditions under established clinical protocols. Conduct general medical evaluations, chronic disease monitoring, and preventive screenings. Support diabetic limb preservation initiatives and wound care management. Document encounters accurately and efficiently within the electronic health record system. Provide patient education and coordinate care with primary care providers and specialists. Participate in quality improvement efforts and maintain compliance with regulatory standards. Qualifications: Current Nurse Practitioner license in the State of Michigan (or applicable state). Board certification as a Family, Adult-Gerontology, or Primary Care Nurse Practitioner. Strong clinical assessment skills and commitment to evidence-based practice. New graduates are encouraged to apply; mentorship and structured onboarding will be provided. Experience in wound care, diabetes management, or musculoskeletal medicine is advantageous but not required. Proficiency with electronic medical records preferred.
