Job Description:

As a key member of Renewal Rehab, the Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) helps provide essential rehabilitation services to patients across a variety of settings including nursing homes, rehab centers, and long-term care facilities. The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, assisting in the implementation of treatment plans to manage patients' physical therapy needs, improve mobility, and alleviate pain. Assist the Physical Therapist in the implementation of patient treatment plans. Document patient progress and report to the Physical Therapist. Help patients with exercises and movements designed to aid their recovery. Ensure all treatments are safe and conform to prescribed protocols. Educate patients and their families on treatments and home exercises. Maintain equipment and space used in therapy sessions. Adhere to all facility safety policies and procedures. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to handle physical demands of the position. Proficient in using physical therapy equipment and techniques. Understanding of safety protocols related to physical therapy. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Valid Physical Therapist Assistant licensure for the state of practice. CPR and First Aid certification recommended.
