Job Description:

WestRock, a global leader in innovative and sustainable packaging solutions, is seeking a Die Utility Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be instrumental in maintaining and managing the die sets and ensuring seamless operations in our production lines. This position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where your skills will directly impact the efficiency and quality of our products, enhancing brand efficacy and customer experience. Manage, store, and clean dies and other related tools used in the manufacturing process. Set up and adjust machines during changeovers, ensuring minimal downtime and meeting production targets. Perform routine inspections and maintenance of die cutting equipment to prevent machine failures and prolong lifespan. Assist in troubleshooting issues during production that involve die equipment. Maintain accurate records of die inventories and their conditions for operational efficiency. Collaborate with production team to ensure best practices in die management and to meet safety standards. Provide suggestions for continuous improvement in workflow and equipment handling. Mechanical aptitude with the ability to operate and maintain machinery Good understanding of production and manufacturing processes Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting heavy objects and standing for extended periods Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills Certified Production Technician (CPT) preferred. Training in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma is beneficial.
