General Summary Responsible for in the manufacturing and assembling of windows and/or door walls working in one of four areas - Shipping & Receiving, Frames (windows), Sashes (windows), or Doorwall/Casements (positions are interchangeable to some extent). Pri mary Duties and Responsibilities Production/Assembly of windows or doorwalls including measuring and cutting of vinyl, glass and other materials. Operating machinery, equipment and tools used in the window manufacturing process. Repetitive movements including grasping, reaching, pulling, pushing, bending, etc. Stocking and cleaning of the workspace and general areas. Other duties or responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications and Skills High school diploma or GED equivalent. Ability to work with small power tools and/or using fine hand manipulation. Ability to move and lift product, anywhere from 10 - 100 lbs. (dependent on position) on a regular basis. Basic familiarity of a manufacturing environment and processes. Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-past, team-oriented environment, meeting quality and quantity deadlines. Self-motivated and self-directed, ability to work with little or no supervision. Good communication skills and the ability to work with others. Basic math and computer skills and the ability to read a tape measure. Physical Requirements Constant standing, sitting, walking, bending, squatting for the entire shift (on average, 8 -10 hours per day). Fine hand manipulation including, grasping and squeezing. Ability to move and lift product, upwards of 25 lbs. or more on a regular basis, occasionally lifting and/or moving 50 lbs. or more. Ability to bend, twist, push, pull and reach above shoulder on a regular basis. Must be able to operate basic equipment, grease guns, grinders, drill presses, punch presses, hand tools, and equipment (may be hand or foot operated). The shifts in the factory is 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Mandatory OT and Saturdays may be required based on work load. Saturday start time is also 5:00 a.m.
