Job Summary
Under the immediate direction of the Chief Financial Officer, the Senior Financial Analyst position will support the company's management reporting and forecasting/budgeting processes as well as providing ad-hoc analysis to finance and business leadership. This role will also support the CFO & CEO in building financial models for evaluating potential acquisitions and measuring acquisition performance post-transaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the CAO in the production of a monthly reporting package with variance analysis against prior year and budget / forecast
  • Capture and report key performance indicators, highlight notable trends and analyze causes of unexpected variances
  • Maintain and enhance the financial reporting and planning tools of the business to provide real-time performance insight into the Company
  • Become a super user of the financial reporting and planning tools as well as the company's other ancillary systems (ex. Comcept, Great Plains, etc.), serving as a resource for training and process improvement opportunities
  • Assist in the creation of quarterly board of director reporting
  • Assist in the company's budgeting and forecasting process
  • Coordinate with the CFO, CAO, and executive team on long-term financial planning
  • Conduct thorough research of historical financial data to analyze trends to support executive leadership decisions
  • Assist in reviewing accounting transactions for financial accuracy
  • Assist the CFO, CEO and COO in the diligence process for potential acquisition opportunities, including key action items such as conducting in depth review of historical financial performance, building financial models, assessing integration / synergy opportunities, and preparing investment and acquisition presentations for review by key stakeholders (including PSE's Board of Directors, Executives and Management Team)
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial information and investment decisions

      • BS degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
      • 3-5 Proven work experience as a Senior Financial Analyst, Financial Analyst or similar role
      • CFA certification preferred (Chartered Financial Analyst)
      • Highly organized with a continuous improvement mindset
      • Expertise in MS Excel (creating financial models and using advanced formulas)
      • Demonstrable strategic thinking & analytical skills
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group - executives, managers, and subject matter experts
      • Ability to prepare and present financial information to senior leadership
      • Familiarity with financial reporting and planning tools strongly preferred

        Physical setting:

        • Office


          • 8 hour shift
          • Monday to Friday

            Ability to commute/relocate:

            • Taylor, MI: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)


              • Bachelor's (Preferred)


                • Senior Financial Analyst: 3 years (Required)
