McKinley is seeking an On-Call Specialist/Maintenance Technician to be the first point of contact for maintenance for apartment communities in Taylor, MI. This position is a 2nd shift position that starts at noon each day. In our business, our customers live with us and trust us to take great care of their homes inside and out, all times of the day and night. That's where you come in! As a technician at McKinley, you will be responsible for ensuring our residents have friendly, timely, high quality maintenance service for their homes especially during the evening hours. This position will be responsible for on call every week! We are looking for someone who loves working with customers, is comfortable working at night and experienced with apartment maintenance. You will also have afternoon shifts consisting of work orders and turns. Compensation: $28-$30 per hour A bit more about what you're going to do:

• It will be your job to respond quickly to all emergency maintenance calls and provide high quality maintenance service for our residents.
• You will be responsible for diagnosing problems and making repairs in areas such as, but not limited to: HVAC, electrical, plumbing, painting, carpentry, drywall repair, general cleaning, appliance maintenance and exterior structure maintenance.
• Ensure workplace safety through the participation of all applicable safety rules and requirements.Are you what we're looking for?
  • Ideally, you have a two to four years of related experience and/or training in areas such as, but not limited to: plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, drywall repair, appliance repair, electrical.
  • A valid Driver's License and reliable transportation is required for this position.
  • Previous property management experience is helpful, but not required.
  • Be flexible! Not everything will be brand new and in fact some of our communities are 50 years old and will definitely require creativity on your part to find the best solutions for needed repairs.
