Company DescriptionClassic Jerky Company, a Jack Link's owned business, is a leader in private brand meat snacks offering a diverse portfolio of high quality products to our retail partners.-- We are stewards of our customer brand - quality, value and safety are paramount in all that we do.Job DescriptionPerform mechanical repair and maintenance dutiesPerform routine maintenance and follow the preventive maintenance program.Performing electrical and mechanical maintenance on all equipmentPerform general maintenance duties including repairs, preventive maintenance duties including repair, preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance for the building.Inspect equipment and perform preventative maintenancePerform preventative maintenance and basic repair on all plant equipment--RESPONSIBILITIES:Day to day preventative maintenance and repair of all types of plant equipment.Understanding the importance for equipment repairs and eliminate possible downtimes be aware of parts / tools accounting to prevent food contamination in the process.Responsible for inspection, repairs, but not limitedFollow, without exception, all work instructions and safety policies, including use of all PPE and safety equipmentPerform routine preventive maintenance checks on all production equipment and machineryRepair all equipment including electrical, mechanical and hydraulicsAble to understand the operation cycle and functions off each production line.Observe and listen to mechanical devices in operation to locate causes of problemAdjust functional parts of devices and be able to set up production lines.Lubricate and clean machinery and support equipment to maintain housekeeping and preventive maintenance standards within the plant.Document Parts and supplies used in daily process.Accomplish all work orders to maintain safety; reduce downtime; decrease scrap; improve quality production; and improve plant efficiencyFollows all safety rules and procedures including Lockout/Tagout program, housekeeping, and 5S standards and observes the operations to insure a safe work environmentPerform other related duties as assigned--QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS:Must have experience in maintenanceExperience working on electrical systems, welding, and fabricationMust have troubleshooting experience with conveyor systems.Ability to operate Equipment for repair purposesAble to read blue prints and Electrical schematics.Have a knowledge and work with 3 phase power lines.Able to communicate effectively be a Team Player with all Departments.Ability to work in a fast-paced environmentMust be able to follow all safety requirementsAble to work at heights / operate Scissor lifts and fork lifts.Additional InformationPHYSICAL DEMANDS:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to be successfully perform the essential functions of this job.-- Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and talk or hear.-- The employee is occasionally required to sit, and reach with hands and arms.-- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.-- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.WORK ENVIRONMENT:The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
