What You’ll Do As a Direct Support Professional , you’ll play a vital role in supporting individuals with disabilities in their daily lives. Your responsibilities will include: - Assisting clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility. - Providing homemaking services, including light housekeeping, meal preparation, laundry, and grocery shopping. - Offering meaningful companionship and emotional support to reduce isolation and promote well-being. - Supporting clients in engaging with their community through outings, recreational activities, and social events. - Ensuring safe and reliable transportation for medical appointments, errands, and social engagements. - Helping clients participate in structured adult day programs designed to build skills and foster personal growth. What We’re Looking For To thrive in this role, you’ll need: - 1 year of experience in a caregiving or direct support role. - A genuine passion for helping others and a commitment to person-centered care. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with clients and their families. - Dependability, patience, and a positive attitude in all interactions.
